In the first round of the playoffs, it's always a fun to see the lower seed teams upset the favorites, or at least cover the spread. The 6th seed Denver and the 8th seed Golden State already upset the home favorites in Game 1. The Warriors were +600 (that is, risk $100 to win $600) on the money line and beat the Mavs by 12 points.
However, it's often a one-sided time as well and
teams want to get sweeps. Winning a series in four straight gives a team time to rest, time to go over strategy and prepare for the next round's opponent, and it also completely demoralizes the other team for future matchups in coming seasons. If Washington gets thrashed 4-0 by Cleveland, do you think they're going to want to play them next year? Sure, they might be motivated to get revenge, but they'll also deep down probably be terrified! This seems obvious, but a lot of people will give the weak team some credit even when they deserve NONE and will say "oh, they'll get a game or two off them" even when they're totally overmatched.
Sweeps can be great situations for bettors too. If one team is CLEARLY the better side, as in the Cleveland - Washington matchup, or the Buffalo - New York Rangers hockey matchup, think about betting on the sweep, or at very least, picking them for a series win.
Don't give credit where credit isn't due. If one team is terrible, chances are they're going to get swept. Good teams want to win every game, and as you'll see in the next few days, they want to send a message to their future opponents.

Here’s why you shouldn’t lose sleep over your credit card number being online: sportsbooks have a lot more to lose than you do. In addition to their being a limit of how much you can lose to fraud, this kind of system gives you an effective way to control your losses as well. If you know you only have a limited amount in your “betting” account, you won’t wake up one day to find your house being dragged away by the IRS and realize you’ve drained your only bank account. I feel that money management is an important issue and I will devote an entire article to it in the near future.

This Week: Deuces Wild
Deuces Wild Video poker is extremely popular because it is easy to play yet contains an element of strategy. The player first chooses what denomination of coins they wish to use, ranging from 5 cents to $5. The player then deposits coins into the machine and then bets up to five coins on the hand. Once the cards are dealt the player selects which cards to keep or "hold", and the remaining cards are replaced in the second deal. After the second deal the player is paid out based on the rank of the resulting poker hand.
